I recently worked out a collaboration arrangement with my friend, professional photographer Archie Tucker, to interpret his photo “All Arms” as an oil painting. My idea was to show the possibility of creating a painting from someone else’s photograph. Many of the elements of the painting are inspired by the photo, but they each have their own distinctive personalities. Do you have a picture of a favorite place that might be exciting as an original oil? The staff at Xanadu Gallery would be happy to discuss the process and the possibilities of my creating your vision! –John Horejs
